Identity documents

Clear colour scan of your current valid passport photo page. Must be an eligible passport holder country.

Change of name document

Deed poll or other proof if your passport name differs from your birth name.

Financial evidence

Bank statements showing AUD 5,000+

Statements demonstrating you have sufficient funds (at least AUD 5,000 equivalent) to support yourself on arrival and cover initial living expenses.

Return or onward flight booking, or funds for departure

Evidence of a booked return flight or sufficient funds to purchase a departure ticket.

Health & character

Police clearance certificate (if requested) Optional

The Department may request a police clearance from your home country or other countries you have lived in. Prepare one in advance.

Chest X-ray (if applicable) Optional

Required if you have lived in a high-risk tuberculosis country for 3 or more months. Check the DIBP country list.

Completed Form 1263 signed by your employer confirming you completed 88 days of specified work in a designated regional area or industry.
