How it works

Three steps to a lodgement-ready bundle

1

Pick your visa

Select from 26 Australian visa checklists and answer a few questions about your situation to get a personalised document list — only what applies to you.

2

Upload your documents

Upload each file against its checklist item. Compress oversized PDFs, merge multi-page documents, and remove password protection — all built in, no extra apps.

3

Export and lodge

Download a correctly-named ZIP bundle or merged PDF — ready to attach to your ImmiAccount lodgement. No renaming, no guessing, no last-minute scramble.

Built into every checklist

PDF tools built in.
No extra apps needed.

Compress, merge, and unlock PDFs right inside your checklist. Files are automatically renamed on export — ready to lodge without touching a filename.

Your documents are safe

Built for sensitive documents

You're uploading passport copies, financial records, and personal evidence. We take that seriously.

Files served via authenticated links only

Your documents are never accessible via a public URL — only through your authenticated session.

Free-tier files never leave your browser

Free uploads — with or without an account — are processed to validate and organise them, then kept only in your browser's local storage, never on our servers. Upgrade and turn on Cloud Save for permanent server-side storage across devices.

We never sell your data

Your documents are yours — never sold, never shared, never used for advertising. The only data we ever share for advertising is limited conversion events (like “a checklist was built”), only if you consent, and never your documents or which visa you’re applying for.

Delete your account and data anytime

One click in Account settings permanently deletes all your uploaded files and personal data.

FAQ

Common questions

No. VisaPacks is an independent preparation tool built to help you organise your documents. All checklists are based on publicly available Department of Home Affairs guidance. For authoritative requirements, always verify on the Department of Home Affairs website or consult a registered migration agent.
No. You can start immediately without an account. Anonymous sessions last 24 hours, after which your checklist progress is deleted (your documents, which were never uploaded to us in the first place, simply stay in your browser). Create a free account to save up to 2 checklists and your progress across sessions — on the free tier, your documents still stay in your browser rather than being uploaded to our servers, and you can upload up to 5 documents in total. An upgrade adds unlimited document uploads, unlimited saved checklists, export features, and the option to turn on Cloud Save for permanent storage across devices.
Yes — VisaPacks is available as a free app for iPhone and iPad on the Apple App Store, with the same checklist, document upload, PDF tools, and export features as the website. Sign in with your VisaPacks account and your checklists sync across the web and the app, so you can start on one and finish on the other. The same one-time $30 AUD upgrade is offered in the app as an in-app purchase, and a single purchase unlocks both. An Android version is in development.
Yes. On the free tier (with or without an account), your documents are never uploaded to our servers at all — they're processed only to validate/organise them, then kept solely in your own browser. Paid accounts can turn on Cloud Save to store documents on our servers, accessible only through your authenticated session, never a public URL, kept until you choose to delete them. We never sell, share, or use your documents for any purpose other than showing them back to you.
VisaPacks covers 26 Australian visa checklists: Partner (820/801, 309/100), Prospective Marriage (300), Student (500, 590), Skilled Independent (189), Skilled Nominated (190), Regional Skilled (191, 491), Skills in Demand (482), Employer Nomination (186), Temporary Graduate (485), Working Holiday (417), Work and Holiday (462), Visitor (600), Parent (103, 143, 864), and 8 subsequent entrant checklists for spouses, partners and dependent children on skilled, work, and student visas. For primary applicants, spouse and dependent children documents are included automatically in the same checklist when you add family members.
The free tier gives you the full checklist, up to 5 document uploads in total, up to 2 saved checklists, 1 compress, 1 merge, and 1 unlock — your documents stay in your browser rather than being uploaded to our servers. The upgrade (one-time, no subscription) unlocks unlimited document uploads, unlimited saved checklists, unlimited PDF tools, ZIP export with correctly-named files, merged PDF export with a cover page, and the option to turn on Cloud Save for permanent storage across devices.
Yes, at any time. Free-tier documents live only in your browser, so clearing your browser's site data removes them; anonymous session progress also auto-deletes 24 hours after it starts. Any account holder can delete individual files, or delete all files and close their account instantly from the Account page — this permanently removes all uploaded documents and personal data, including anything stored on our servers via Cloud Save.
The most common errors are uploading files over the 5 MB ImmiAccount limit, omitting certified NAATI translations for non-English documents, submitting uncertified copies when originals are required, using passports expiring within 6 months, and forgetting documents for a spouse or dependent children on the same application. VisaPacks helps prevent all of these with built-in PDF compression, auto-naming, and per-applicant document sections for family members.
The Department of Home Affairs website shows a static document list for each visa type. VisaPacks personalises the list to your circumstances — employment type, relationship status, whether children are included — removes items that don't apply to you, lets you upload files against each item, compress and merge PDFs to meet the 5 MB ImmiAccount limit, auto-renames documents to a consistent convention, and exports a complete ready-to-lodge bundle. It is an active document organiser, not just a reference list.
