Identity documents
3 itemsClear colour scan of your current valid passport photo page. Must be from an eligible 462 country.
Official birth certificate confirming your age (must be 18–30 at time of application).
Deed poll or other proof if your passport name differs from your birth name.
Government support letter
1 itemFor some nationalities, a letter of support from your home country's government or embassy is required. Check the DIBP eligible country list for your nationality.
Education & language
2 itemsTranscripts or completion certificate from a university or equivalent institution, required for some nationalities.
IELTS or equivalent test results, or evidence of English-medium education, required for some nationalities.
Financial evidence
2 itemsStatements demonstrating you have sufficient funds (at least AUD 5,000 equivalent) to support yourself on arrival.
Evidence of a booked return flight or sufficient funds to purchase a departure ticket.
Health & character
2 itemsNational police certificate from your home country (and any country lived in for 12+ months). May be requested by the Department.
Required if you have lived in a high-risk tuberculosis country for 3 or more months.
